In order to keep flowers around as long as possible you can press them and keep a unique botanical print.

There are many ways of doing it: you can use a wooden flower press, an iron on even a microwave!

But pressing flowers with a book is the easiest way to go.

You’ll need a heavy book and some type of plain white and texture-free absorbent paper.

Place your favourite flower between two sheets of the absorbent paper and then carefully place it inside the pages of the book.

You can place extra flowers in various pages throughout the book. Once ready, close the book firmly and apply pressure on top. Placing additional books or heavy objects will assure the right amount of pressure.

Then you just have to leave it undisturbed to allow the flowers to fully dry. It should take 3-4 weeks. You can check them in 1-2 weeks to see how they are doing and to replace the paper if needed.

Flowers are done when they have a dry and papery texture. They will be delicate and easy to breakso try to remove them very carefully using your fingers on a pair of tweezers.

And voilà! You can now frame it, use it to adorn note cards, create a bookmark, or to decorate your room. Allow your creativity to flourish!
