Music is a great treasure and to play it in a fun manner, what could be better than making your own instruments with the children from recycled materials.
An educational, sustainable and highly entertaining activity.
We can build amazing instruments from things we normally find in the house. You can make a very original mouth organ using paper straws.
If you have glass bottles, you could have musical bottles. Or you can have a percussion concert going with a few tins in the wink of an eye.
Another unique and easy instrument is the Rainstick. You can make it by joining cardboard tubes together, painting them and filling them with rice, which produces marvellous sounds. You do the same for Maracas by simply sticking two cardboard glasses together and the rice works its magic.
