History

The story begins just over 40 years ago in Barcelona. Boboli was born Boboli was born with a very clear concept: Knitwear for the whole family.

After a few years away from Barcelona, our father Francisco Algás founds Star Textil, S.A. with a clear industrial vocation and with an eye on exports. On the other hand, our mother Teresa Ochoa founded Boboli. Boboli was born with a very clear concept: knitwear for the whole family.

They went their separate ways but with many synergies and in 1992 they decided to join paths. We needed a brand for the new industrial context and Boboli needed the strength of an industry behind it. It is at this moment that Boboli was really born as it is today.

Little by little, we completed the collection and the DNA of the brand was strengthened. We wanted Boboli to be a differential brand in the market and color, prints and quality were the commitments we wanted to make from the beginning.

Export, as it was in the beginning, has always been one of the mainstays of the company. The paths have not always been easy, but Boboli's recognizable design leaves no one indifferent. The company's values are also a mainstay for decision making, innovation, respect and exigency are values rooted in the company since its foundation.

The three of us sisters have joined the company at different times and little by little we have been taking on responsibilities until the summer of 2014 when our parents took a step aside and we took over the leadership.

The challenges have been many and in recent years we have also had to struggle with uncertainty.

The digital transformation, key to the survival of the company, sustainability in a context where Fast Fashion is imposing itself on the market, internationalization itself with all the adaptations that it requires of us, have been very demanding challenges.

We are fortunate to be very close and understand that it was necessary to surround ourselves with excellent people. That is what we have done.

We now have a team of 250 people and our obsession is to be faithful to the brand and company values and to transmit them to all the teams, since everything is necessary to make Boboli a reference brand in the sector.

We look forward to the future because we have many opportunities and we see ourselves ready to face them.

Our beginnings

Creation of the Boboli brand. Our name was born after a trip to the boboli gardens in Florence. We open our first shop in Barcelona.

1991

First trip

We attend our first international trade fair: Florence PITTI Bimbo.

Think big

We set up our first Department Store in El Palacio de Hierro (Mexico).

We arrived in Italy.

One step further

We went a step further and designed a complete collection to cover all children's needs. From 1 month to 16 years old.

New challenges

We bet on the Retail channel. Until then we were a multi-brand brand. In 2000 we started to create a shop concept and to think about a network of shops.

We are already present in more than 20 countries.

We continue to travel

We participate for the first time in the CPM fair in Russia.

Present in more than 30 countries.

New Born line. 0m arrives and an ideal collection for baby's first days!

We parade for the first time at the most important children's fashion fair, PITTI Bimbo.

We have grown so much that we need bigger offices. New headquarters in Llinars del Vallès.

We cross the pond

We open a subsidiary in Mexico.

We continue to grow

We opened a subsidiary in Colombia. We are already present in more than 70 countries.
